After relays in 2021 in more than 30 cinemas throughout Spain, its first work, ‘La Sombra’, which is part of Amazon Prime Video’s cinematographic lineup, has received awards at international festivals and a Goya nomination. Cordoba filmmaker Antonio Chavero has now launched a message on his social networks requesting figures for the filming of the sequel to ‘Luz’.
According to information provided to Europa Press by Chavero himself, the Cordoban writer has delved into the post-apocalyptic universe he created in his first film, and in January of this year at the Palacio del Congreso del Córdoba, the filming of ‘La Luz’ began. The script was written by Chavero himself, who will require scenes for the new feature film, which, even as a sequel, has its own «identity,» as he stated.
Regarding the search for figures, Chavero specified on his social networks, as consulted by Europa Press, that they must be from Córdoba, «due to proximity,» in order to attend the casting on «March 8 at 8.00» at the University of Ranales campus. Interested individuals are asked to provide clothing, footwear, and height details.
This message, as Chavero mentioned on his social media, received an excellent response, with the Cordoba filmmaker assuring that «we already have many confirmed individuals,» although there are still potential roles for ‘La Luz’ as the planned limit has not been reached.
Along with this, Chavero expressed gratitude for the «support» and «affection» received on social media for this film, which he has no doubt will «captivate the minds» of its future viewers, «as we embark on this journey ourselves.»
Regarding the commencement of filming at the Palacio del Congreso, Chavero noted the support received from the venue, stating that the Palacio de Congressos is a collaborator for the new film and has shown «loyal support» for the filming locations, even setting up a pre-screening for the performance venues.

‘La Luz’ is a dramatic fiction film set in a post-apocalyptic Cordoba, starring Iván Ojeda, Esther Feroz, Ángel Lázaro, Lluf Saguer, and Mónica Bardem. The filming, now entering a new phase, is scheduled to conclude by the end of April.
The story follows Efe as the protagonist, haunted by ghosts of the past and living in a post-apocalyptic sect called «Solo.» Her life feels devoid of purpose and inertia until everything changes when she meets Sofia, a rebel who claims to have a more significant reason for being than just surviving.
