The Ministry of Development, Territorial Articulation, and Housing has received 23 offers from companies interested in remodeling the access road to Rambla (Córdoba) from A-386, which will improve road safety with a road extension and the construction of three significant garbage dumps that enhance communications and the channel. The investment is approximately 3.6 million euros (3,595,655 euros) to reorganize and channel the traffic of this entrance to the municipality.
According to the board in a statement, the Minister of Development, Rocío Díaz, stated that this participation «is good news to continue with a project that I resumed after more than a decade blocked and will be essential to improve road safety.» Therefore, «La Rambla will have an improved and renovated main access, which will also mean an economic boost for the ceramic and ceramic industry,» she added.
Rembla Access Remodeling «is being channeled 15 years after the first project, which was carried out in 2010 but was never executed.» The Government of Juanma Moreno «faced its update for the first time because it became outdated and did not comply with current regulations. In addition, it did not meet the real needs of users after the time elapsed and the development of the same municipality.»
The Ministry of Development will act on a section of the A-3133 road located between 26.4 and 27.9, from the urban area to Rambla to the junction with the A-386 Road (Écija-la Rambla). This route is, in fact, the first access to the city in Rambla for traffic on the A-45 highway.
The accident rate in this section, which crosses several streets of the municipality and the industrial heritage, has increased «significantly in recent years, due to the current aspect and condition of the company throughout the section.» In fact, the road has a winding and narrow layout and roads without six meters, for a traffic volume of approximately 4,000 vehicles per day.
With this work, co-financed with European funds from the Feder, the Ministry of Development will widen the current platform by two 3.25 meters, one meter on the right bank, along with a 0.60-meter berm. Similarly, it will remodel the current intersections with three new roundabouts that will result in an apparent improvement in road safety and better traffic flows at this natural entrance to Rambla,» as emphasized by the councilor.
The first roundabout is located in the urban area, on Infantil Strada, near the municipal pool, while the second will access the industrial estate Alphare, replacing the current T-shaped intersection. Along with the construction of these two roundabouts, a steel band and a bicycle lane are designed on the left bank. On the right bank, a section of the sidewalk is planned at the beginning of the project section to the new bus station location to provide access to a nearby performance building.
Through these steps, the existing steel will be completed and conditioned, thus eliminating interruptions. Additionally, lighting will be available throughout the road, located on the steel. On the other hand, the intersection with the A-386 road will be remodeled with the help of a level crossing that will replace the existing T-shaped passage. With it, the existing left turn will be eliminated. Along with the reorganization of connections and access, the longitudinal appearance and drainage will be improved, and the company will be remodeled.
This work is planned to take 17 months once construction begins. Additionally, an optional management contract for these works was also awarded with a budget of 176,616 euros, in which, after the bidding period, seven companies participated.
