The Foundation Cajasol in Córdoba opened on Friday in the sections of the stall, with the opening of two exhibitions that can be visited during this period. This is the «XLII Photography Competition of the Holy Week of Córdoba» and «the image and heritage of the Brotherhood of Córdoba,» organized in collaboration with the Brotherhood and Brotherhood Group.
The inauguration was attended by authorities and representatives of the Córdoba Cofrade world. Among them, the first vice president of Diputacia de Córdoba, Andrés Lorite; Ayto Delegate. The President of the Brotherhood and Brotherhood Group, Manuel Murillo, and the Commissioners of the Exhibitions, Antonio Jesús García and Sarai Herrera, as detailed by the Foundation in a note.
With this inauguration, the Foundation Cajasol gives the starting signal to the Slow 2025 sections, a cultural program that, in addition to these two exhibitions, will include other events (one in public roads), concerts, conferences, workshops, and presentations, such as the «hand program of the cofrade relicy,» in addition to the traditional delivery of the drops.
During his speech, the delegate of the Foundation Cajasol in Córdoba highlighted the great reception from the public and the media, emphasizing the importance of collaborating with the Brotherhood and Brotherhood Group to «continue enriching the heritage and tradition of Holy Week in Córdoba.» He also encouraged Córdoba to participate in the scheduled activities during the work.
Murillo emphasized the relevance of these exhibitions as «the rich showcase of the heritage of Córdoba Cofrade and the effort of the brothers to enhance Holy Week with new artistic contributions,» emphasizing the importance of «continuing and nurturing these initiatives.»
The commissioners of both exhibitions invited the public to visit them, emphasizing the «contrast and harmony between the two, living in the same space to provide an enriching view and devotion to the Brotherhood.»
The main Brotherhood
The exhibition «The image and heritage of the brothers of Córdoba» has the participation of various brothers who wanted to show the public part of the new features that will be used in the Holy Week of 2025. Merced Brotherhood, University Brotherhood, Linares Brotherhood, and Cistherian Brotherhood.
The event also awarded the best photographs of the XLIII Photography Contest of the Holy Week of Córdoba, organized by the Association of Brotherhood and Brotherhood. The winners were Juan José Peinado Pérez (third prize), Jesús Salmoral Núñez (second prize), and José Luis Seco Herrera Lorenzo (first prize).
The exhibitions will be open to the public at the headquarters of the Foundation Cajasol in Córdoba (Ronda de Los Tejes, 32), from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00. The «image and legacy of the Brotherhood in Córdoba» can be visited until March 29, while the «XLII Photography Contest of the Holy Week of Córdoba» will close its doors on April 20.
