The Cajasol Foundation in Córdoba organized the presentation of the new monograph of the literary magazine Angora Nova, titled «La palabra compartida. 35 años por Nova Anfora (1989-2024)». This work, with the collaboration of the University of Córdoba (UCO), the Ministry of Culture, Diputacia de Córdoba, and the Cajasol Foundation, commemorates over three decades of experience of the publication, established as a cultural reference.
The event was attended by the President of the Parliament in Andalucía, Jesús Aguirre; Vice -Co Student ‘Student’ Student and Culture, Israel Muñoz Galarte; the writer and president of the provincial court of Córdoba, Francisco de Paula Sánchez Zamorano, and the director of the literary magazine Angora Nova, José María Molina Caballero, as detailed by the Foundation in a note.
During his speech, Molina expressed his pride in editing «a work of great international relevance whose title, la palabra compartida, faithfully represents the essence of Nova Amphora: plurality, eclecticism, and a firm commitment to universal values, human rights, justice, art, or equality.» He also highlighted the «care and aesthetics» with which he worked on this edition.
The monograph brings together poems, unpublished materials, stories, essays, letters, and manuscripts from authors and artists from over 20 countries. Among them, figures like Mayor Federico Zaragoza, along with unpublished texts from Nobel laureates such as Gabriel García Márquez, Vicente Aleixandre, Nelson Mandela, or Jimmy Carter, as well as famous cultural and artistic names, including Culcervant and Fernando Arrabal.
The UCO student and culture emphasized that the support for this monograph is part of the cultural agreement between UCO and Nova Amphora, highlighting the «international prestige» of the magazine and solidifying it as one of the most relevant publications in the American field. Additionally, he praised UCO’s support for cultural initiatives of quality.
The President of the Provincial Court of Córdoba expressed satisfaction in participating in this tribute to Nova Anfora, where he wrote the introduction «AMPA Nova, an essential reference.» In his text, he highlighted the «authenticity, perseverance, and self-examination» of the director, as well as the «effort» that has made the magazine a «fundamental pillar in the literary world» after 35 years of experience.
He also emphasized the prestige of Nova Amphora, «not only for its excellence in literature and art but also for its commitment to universal values such as peace, human rights, justice, and ecology, topics addressed in different monographs published throughout its history.»
The President of the Andalusian Parliament congratulated Amphora Nova and its director for these 35 years of experience, as well as for receiving the Gold Medal of Andalusia in Social Sciences and Letters. He also highlighted the participation of over 600 authors from 50 countries in the magazine and the importance of cultural industries for the development of Andalucía.
Aguirre praised the «quality and excellence» of this monograph and recalled his participation in the presentation of the book «Los Beads Del Alba» by Francisco de Paula Sánchez Zamorano, organized at the Royal Academy of Antequera in October of last year.
With «La palabra compartida. 35 años de Nova (1989-2024)», the magazine reaffirmed its commitment to literature, art, and the dissemination of universal values. In this sense, the Cajasol Foundation provided support for this initiative in its effort to promote and disseminate culture, reaffirming its commitment to promoting talent and access to culture in Andalucía.
