Moreno impulsa la movilización de 2.875 millones en ayudas y financiamiento para empresas exportadoras

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has announced that Andalucía will mobilize 2,875 million euros between aid and financial support instruments for exporting companies, plus a special banking financing line. Specifically, he stated that there will be 615 million in TRADE incentives, R&D&I grants, industry incentives for flagship projects, or Guarantees and 2,260 million in competitive financing resulting from a protocol that will be signed with banking entities to make them available to companies.

Moreno has explained that the world economy is changing part of the ‘status quo’ of recent decades with decisions and changes of opinion by the US government that create a volatile and unpredictable scenario that will have difficult consequences for Europe, Spain, and Andalucía.

Therefore, he has advocated for acting from unity, dialogue, and serenity in the face of tariffs and has emphasized that the Spanish government must lead a clear and forceful country response, always within the framework of the European Union and taking into account the autonomous governments. «For this, it has the full collaboration of Andalucía, which, within our competencies, is already adopting realistic solutions.»

At this point, he has called for responding to the challenges we face from a cohesive, united, and committed Spain. «From Andalucía, we want to add our effort to build a stronger, more stable, and more competitive country that advances in progress and well-being for its citizens. We have shown that there is an alternative path and that the Andalusian way works.»

The Andalusian President has indicated that Spain loses opportunities when it loses sight of the territories because it is precisely the diversity, proximity, and knowledge of the autonomous communities that enrich the common project.

During his speech at the «La España Vertebrada» Forum organized in Málaga by the El Mundo newspaper, he asserted that Andalucía has the vocation to contribute to the progress of this country, always under three essential premises such as loyalty, solidarity, and equality.

Thus, he has pointed out that Andalusians now have the ambition to be decisive in Spain, taking on the role that corresponds to the most populous community, second in size, and third in the country’s economy. «There is a palpable sense of improvement and ambition in society, and our government has understood that demand and has promoted it with significant reforms.»

In this sense, he has stated that the objective of the Andalusian government is to facilitate economic activity, attract investment, and promote job creation, and has recalled that since 2019, six tax cuts have been approved, reducing the taxes of Andalucía’s competitive environment, and that this community has managed to be the second in the common regime with a more favorable fiscal environment for working and investing.

In addition, he has highlighted that this is complemented by the approval of more than 800 measures for administrative simplification and the TRIPLAN which, he said, will revolutionize the functioning of the Andalusian government.

In this way, he has referred to the Project Acceleration Unit, replicated by other communities, which has assigned 140 projects, 18,000 million euros in investment, and 52,000 jobs.

Regarding the province of Málaga, he has stated that it is a dynamic province, with a strong social and business fabric, with powerful sectors and the capacity and talent to be a major economic driver. «Málaga is better than in 2018. It is the fifth province in Spain in terms of the number of companies, with almost a 7% increase. From 2018 to 2025, it has 22,100 more self-employed workers and almost 105,500 more people affiliated with Social Security. It is a reference for sectors as relevant in our economy as technology, agribusiness, and tourism.»

Moreno has emphasized the importance of continuing to transform Andalucía’s productive model with the original talent and peculiar potential of each of its provinces and has stressed that Andalucía is now a community prepared to compete and lead. Thus, he has pointed out that from 2019 to 2024, the Andalusian GDP has grown six tenths more than the Spanish average and that, as solid projections such as those of BBVA Research indicate, it will continue to grow above the national average in 2025.

He has highlighted that the new companies registered with Social Security in 2024 in Andalucía represent 80% of those created in Spain, that this community has over 600,000, surpassing Madrid and the Valencian Community in number, and has been leading in the number of self-employed workers for three years, surpassing Catalonia with over 584,000.

«Thanks to these companies and self-employed workers, we are creating more jobs than ever, with almost 3.5 million employed. We have almost half a million more jobs since 2019. Andalucía has been reducing year-on-year unemployment for 47 consecutive months and leading this decline in absolute terms in Spain for over two years. These are data that speak for themselves. They speak of an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic Andalucía determined to seize opportunities for growth and prosperity.»

The President of the Junta has emphasized that Andalucía has a strong presence in foreign economies, being the third largest exporter in the country and exceeding 40 billion euros in exports in 2024.

In relation to this issue, he added that the US is an important but not decisive market, as sales to this country did not exceed 8% of the total exported and represent 1.4% of the Andalusian GDP, but he stated that the American market has a significant impact on the agri-food sector, with over 75% of the business volume with this country generated by the olive sector, around 800 million.

Moreno has added that, faced with uncertainty, Andalucía enjoys institutional, political, and budgetary stability that is very valuable in turbulent times, with a Budget for 2025 of 48,871 million and with the aim of solving problems and opening paths of opportunity.

This is where he specified that Andalucía has the trust of investors, increasing foreign investment by 41% in 2024, 22 points higher than the national average and exceeding the 20% annual average of the last decade.

In conclusion, he has emphasized the strong commitment to the green economy and clean energy as a lever for a new industry, with more added value and more qualified employment, and has added that decarbonization is an opportunity for Andalucía, as evidenced by the fact that in the last four years, 16.3 billion euros in new industrial investments have arrived and that renewable energies already constitute 66% of the electricity generation capacity in the Andalusian community, which is a reference in Green hydrogen, with 23 projects underway.

Also present at the event were the Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds, Carolina España; the Minister of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment, Rocío Blanco; the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre; the President of the Provincial Council, Francisco Salado; the President of Unidad Editorial, Marco Pompignoli, and the Director of the El Mundo newspaper, Joaquín Manso.
