As every year, around the Sunday of Petopune, the Corpus campaign begins at Caritas Diocesan of Córdoba, starting with the celebration of Corpus Christi, to «transform solidarity into action», which is a new opportunity to make public the charitable work and social entity of the Catholic Church of Cervoba.
Additionally, as reported by Caritas Córdoba, this campaign aims to raise funds to help the most vulnerable people, due to the commendable activity of each of the parishes in the diocese of Córdoba.
«While there are people, there is hope» was the institutional campaign slogan of Caritas, whose goal is to value the social action of Caritas and thousands of volunteers in the year they celebrate 60 years since their anniversary, while emphasizing the fact of achieving a better future for the people they are committed to socially.
This campaign will last until June 22, with the celebration of the solemnity of Corpus Christi at the Church of the Sacred Cathedral in Córdoba, presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese, Jesús Fernández.
Once again, the volunteers and technicians of Caritas Diocesan of Córdoba and their Donation Boxes will be out on Thursday for Corpus, on June 19 starting at 10:30 in the morning, «so that Córdoba becomes justice, hope, love, and joy for the most vulnerable.»
As Pope Francis said, «every Christian and every community are called to be tools of God for the liberation of the poor, so that they can fully integrate into society.» Therefore, another objective of this campaign is to raise awareness through communicative actions on social networks and media that make up the Caritas parish groups, who, guided by social workers in Caritas, «accompany the most vulnerable people in each neighborhood and city with them.»
This Corpus 2025 campaign has several relevant reference points for the diocesan Caritas of Córdoba.
