La Confederación Hidrográfica Guadiense (CHG) informs about the concession in the process, at the request of the Provincial Council in Córdoba, for the use of surface waters from La Colada de La Colada for the supply of municipalities in the northern part of the province, in the Pedrocuri region.

Excessive overdimensioning, so that the project foresees a flow of 600 liters per second (L/S), which is considered improper. The impact on the environment, from the execution of new actions in the public hydraulic domain and its protection zones, the service and the police, is an unnecessary pressure that could negatively affect the ecological status of the water body and the associated ecosystem.
Furthermore, the economic inefficiency, so that the execution of this infrastructure would imply an additional cost of over eight million euros, spending on duplicating already operational systems. And reducing the water quality, so that the proposed new intake would capture weaker water, which is currently in use.
The resolution considers the authorization of the medium voltage electrical connection to provide the lift station already executed during the emergency situation.
This rush, which will also allow the supply of the floating shooting pumps to be carried out in accordance with the technical alternative proposed by Endesa Distribution, connected to the existing airline called Belalcaza2, in accordance with the project for the completion of the works dated in November 2022.
