El presidente DiPutacia, Salvador Fuentes, described as a «barbarity» the government’s decision, through the Confederación Hidrográfica Guadiense (CHG), to reject the authorization between the reservoirs in Sierra Boyera and Colada, a «key» infrastructure to ensure water supply to 27 municipalities in the north.
In this context, Fuentes expressed his discomfort in an audio sent to the media, where he criticized the «absolute institutionalism» when he heard this decision through the media.
He also emphasized that there is no official document related to this issue in the diputacia registry. «When it arrives, we will study it from a technical point of view and act accordingly to defend the interests of the community,» he said.
The project, awarded by the Junta de Andalucía to the company Jacar for an amount of 9.3 million euros, aims to «solve water supply problems in the northern part of Córdoba, benefiting a population of 80,000 inhabitants,» reported the Andalusian executive.
