The Ministry of Sustainability and Environment of the Andalusian Regional Government celebrates the positive results obtained on its main portals during the month of March 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year. These data reflect the growing interest of citizens, companies, and institutions in environmental information and the use of digital platforms to access services related to the environment, climate change, and good environmental management practices. The collective commitment to sustainability and awareness of climate change are becoming increasingly evident, driving access to this type of content.
One of the portals that has experienced a significant increase in its traffic is the Andalusian Environmental Portal. In March 2025, the number of users grew by 2.2% compared to March 2024, reaching 84,564 visitors. Additionally, sessions increased by 9.8%, reflecting not only a higher volume of accesses but also a growing interest in the available content. This increase translates into more frequent and prolonged navigation within the portal, with a 22.3% increase in the average session duration, reaching 5 minutes and 13 seconds. There was also a 43% increase in the number of events per user, indicating a more active interaction with the offered resources. Among the most demanded content by citizens in March are the Andalusian Reservoir Viewer, the Environmental Information Network, and the Natural Parks.
On the other hand, the Visitor’s Window, the portal dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of natural spaces and public facilities in Andalusia, has recorded significant growth in March 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of users increased by 8.2%, reaching 45,965 visitors, while the number of sessions grew by 8.5%, reflecting an increasing interest in exploring these environments. Additionally, the increase in the number of new users indicates that more people are discovering and using this platform to plan their visits and activities in nature. Among the most consulted sections are the Natural Spaces and Facilities Finder, as well as the Activities offer.
Regarding the Electronic Administration Channel, it has achieved an increase in the number of sessions (+0.6%) and sessions per user (+10.3%) compared to March 2024, showing a higher frequency of use by citizens. The most consulted procedures include the issuance of hunting and fishing licenses and waste management.
The Andalusian Hunting and Freshwater Fishing Portal has recorded a significant growth in all its key indicators. In March 2025, the number of users increased by 35.4% compared to March 2024, reaching 12,258 visitors, while sessions grew by 34.8%. There is also a notable increase of 29.7% in new users and 14.8% more page views, indicating a growing interest in information and services related to hunting and fishing in the community. Among the most consulted sections are the Hunting Season in Andalusia 2024-2025 and hunting and fishing licenses.
On the other hand, the Andalusian Climate Change Portal has seen an increase in the average session duration (+1.9%) and in the number of sessions per user (+12.6%) compared to March 2024, suggesting that those accessing the platform are spending more time exploring its content. Among the most visited pages are the Andalusian Emissions Compensation System (SACE) and the Carbon Footprint Application of Andalusian municipalities.
These data reinforce the commitment of the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment to the continuous improvement of its digital platforms, ensuring access to environmental information and services effectively and accessibly for citizens. The positive trend in the use of these portals demonstrates the growing environmental awareness of Andalusian society and the importance of having efficient and updated digital tools.
