The Presidency Gallery of the Diputacia de Córdoba hosts «The art and devotion of the exhibition: Jesús García Osorno and the poster of Holy Week in Córdoba,» a monographic exhibition organized by the brotherhood group in the capital.
The exhibition, which can be visited at the Palace Presidency Gallery in Merced, is complemented, alongside the poster of the 2025 Holy Week, with a selection of paintings by Jesús García Osorno, mainly from the brotherhoods, municipalities, and private collections of Huelva Origin, according to the Diputación.
During the opening ceremony, the President of the Provincial Institution, Salvador Fuentes, appreciated Osorno’s work on the Cophade Poster, «a pure proposal that features our Christ of Remedy of Souls as its protagonist.»
Fuentes detailed that «this pioneering exhibition allows us to delve into the artist’s creative process over the years, through a total of 26 paintings and seven drawings, but with the special aspect of this year.»
«Art and devotion: Jesús García Osorno and the poster of Holy Week in Córdoba» involve «a tribute to this great artist, but also a space to showcase the grandeur of our Holy Week, a celebration that is part of our history and our identity,» Fuentes remarked.
For the President of Diputación, «the exhibition we are inaugurating today allows us to focus on the important role that our brotherhood and sisterhood, the place of refuge and gathering, is an intrinsic part of Córdoba.»
