The Andalusian Center of Photography (CAF), a space under the Ministry of Culture and Sports, has presented the absolute premiere of ‘Espacio disponible’, the new work by photographer Eduardo Nave (Valencia, 1976) at its headquarters in Almería. The exhibition is organized by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions in collaboration with the Centro José Guerrero, belonging to the Granada Provincial Council, portraying the advertising ruins of the analog era and the obsolescence of traditional and static advertising.
The exhibition consists of 79 photographs of abandoned billboards, offering a reflection on advertising that now circulates through electronic devices and the virtuality of the Internet. This proposal, which can be seen until June 15 at the CAF, is complemented by other works made on paper using the original remnants of advertising signs and a creative audiovisual piece by Eduardo Nave and David Linuesa. The exhibition showcases «the ruins of advertising modernity», as analyzed by philosopher Gilles Lipovetsky in an unpublished text specifically written for this exhibition. Lipovetsky is one of the most influential contemporary thinkers in the analysis of consumer society and new media behaviors.
During the presentation, Eduardo Nave stated, «the idea was to document these skeletons of a glorious past and bid farewell to a form of communication. Create a record of this ‘trashure’ that disintegrates year after year, contaminating the environment and visual landscape.»

Eduardo Nave
Eduardo Nave (Valencia, 1976) holds a Higher Technical Degree in Plastic Arts and Design in Photography from the Escola d’Art I Superior de Disseny in Valencia. In 2005, he founded, along with 13 other artists, the NOPHOTO contemporary photography collective, which a year later received the Arco and Revelación PhotoEspaña 06 awards.
Since 2001, he has been a regular contributor to national and international editorial media, and his work is represented by Galería Daniel Cuevas (Madrid) and Galería Juan Silió (Santander). He has received several awards such as the Imagenera Documentary Creation about Andalusia 2023 and the ENATE Art Prize 2023/24, among others. Throughout his career, he has participated in collective and individual exhibitions including ‘Encuentros Internacionales de Fotografía de Arles’ (France), Macuf (A Coruña), Instituto Cervantes (Paris), or PhotoEspaña (Madrid).
His work is part of collections in institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, the city councils of Alcobendas, Madrid, Valencia, Murcia, or Tenerife, the Ordóñez Falcó Foundation, the Cartier-Bresson Family, the Congress of Deputies, the Ministry of Industry, National Heritage of Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal, the Marcelino Botín Foundation, the Dos de Mayo Art Center, the Circa XX Collection, and DKV.
