The 061 Emergency Health Center in Andalusia, belonging to the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) of the Ministry of Health and Consumption, has received a good or very good rating of 90% from surveyed individuals after receiving assistance from the 061 emergency health teams.
This rating is given to the 061 emergency health service in the annual satisfaction survey that the center has been conducting since 2000 for the citizens who have required the services of the 061 emergency teams. An evaluation of service quality that was only interrupted in 2020, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
The high level of overall satisfaction shown with the service continues for another year as reflected in this survey, whose purpose is to understand the opinion of citizens on the different phases of the process of providing healthcare for emergencies and urgent situations. This survey includes from the reception of the call at the coordinating centers, where over a million requests are received annually, to the assistance provided to patients in need by the 061 teams.
The 061 Emergency Health Center has implemented a new survey system through interactive voice response (IVR), and has made changes to the format of this satisfaction questionnaire, moving from the numerical scale of 0 to 10 that was used until 2023 to a 5-response scale covering very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor.
Regarding the response received from the coordinating centers for emergencies and urgent situations in the network, spread across Eastern and Western Andalusia, users have rated the treatment received by managers and healthcare professionals as good or very good at 89.2%, with 90.5% in Western Andalusia and 88% in Eastern Andalusia.
The emergency health service has a coordination room in each Andalusian province where specialized managers and healthcare personnel from the 061 Emergency Health Center receive all emergency and urgent calls through various access lines. The overall rating for healthcare management at the coordinating centers for emergencies and urgent situations in Andalusia is 87.7% as good or very good.
The annual survey also reflects the rating that patients give for the treatment received from the professionals of the 061 emergency health teams, being good or very good for 92.86% of surveyed individuals. By province, the results in this regard are as follows: Almería 88.7% of patients rate it as good and very good, Cádiz 91.2%, Córdoba 90%, Granada 96.3%, Huelva 95.7%, Jaén 92.3%, Málaga 91.8%, and Sevilla 95.3%.
Regarding the overall satisfaction shown with the healthcare provided by the professionals of the 061, which is rated as good or very good by 90% of those surveyed in Andalusia, the standout provinces are Huelva (95.7%), Granada (92.7%), Almería (92%), and Sevilla (91.2%), followed by Málaga (88.7%), Córdoba (88.1%), Cádiz (87.9%), and Jaén (86.5%).
