The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, participated in Brussels at the Pawel Adamowicz Award ceremony where he highlighted and praised the effort and courage of those who work tirelessly every day for concord and for safeguarding the values that «give us hope to achieve reconciliation in general and particularly in Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel.»
Moreno congratulated Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, for this award, as well as Bassam Aramin and Rami Elhanan who received special recognition from the jury of this important prize.
Moreover, he thanked Commissioner Marta Kos for reinforcing the recognition of this award granted by the EU, and Pawel Adamowicz’s wife for the legacy her husband left, whom he described as an example, an inspiration for all those dedicated to serving citizens from local and regional authorities. «The city of Gdansk is undoubtedly a symbol of freedom, solidarity, and equality,» he added.

He also mentioned Vitali Klitschko, highlighting the brave and tireless work he is carrying out in Kyiv. «In Andalucía, we feel the heartbeat of Ukrainian hearts and stand in solidarity throughout Europe to support our Ukrainian friends, the dignity you have maintained in the capital of Ukraine, and also to confront arrogance, totalitarianism, and unjustified war,» he concluded.
