El municipio de Villanueva del Duque (Córdoba) celebra, del miércoles al domingo 8 de junio, la edición XX de su feria de turismo rural, una iniciativa que apoya el apoyo de Diputacia de Córdoba, a través del Instituto Provincial de Desarrollo Económico (Iphrodeco).
During its inauguration, the president of the provincial institution, Salvador Fuentes, insisted that «this meeting is much more than correct, it is a commitment to Villanueva del Duque, to its traditions, and to those proposals that involve development and growth.»
Fuentes emphasized that «the respect of 20 editions cannot be the result of chance, but highlighted the work, determination, and commitment of the entire society of Pedrosa that, consciously because of its potential, has decided to value and publish everything they are as individuals.»
«Today we inaugurate an initiative that, despite its 20 years of existence, has been able to adapt, grow, and add proposals that have allowed it to become a reference for the northern area of the province. ‘Los puertroches, meeting points,’ an initiative that promotes tourism not only in Villanueva del Duque, but also in the 17 municipalities of the region,» he added.
According to the head of Diputacia, it is «a proposal that seeks to create synergies, strengthen territorial identity, and stimulate rural economy through cooperation and dialogue among towns. An action in which Diputacia is and will be present, aware of the importance of these initiatives revitalizing their world.»
Fuentes stressed that «rural tourism is a strategic opportunity because data shows that there are many travelers who choose more human and authentic destinations. A visitor map in which Pedroches has much to say as a destination of nature, landscape, history, and art, but also of the people, as revealed today.»
