The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has stated that the rehabilitation of the Town Hall of the Sevillian municipality of Écija represents the recovery of an important project in the artistic heritage of this Sevillian municipality.
This project has received a significant investment in which the Junta de Andalucía contributes two-thirds, around 5.5 million by 2027, co-financed at 80% with European funds, and will give more dignity to an emblematic building located in one of the most important areas of the city.
This work, with three basic objectives that are to enhance what has heritage value, eliminate what does not, and leave a historically improved building up to the needs and category of Écija, combines the classic and the modern that will be perfectly coordinated with a renovated and spacious interior, with the best conditions for the tasks it entails, with a courtyard that will reinforce its institutional function and with facades that provide continuity to those created by Balbino Marrón, giving a unified image, taking advantage of everything for the building to enjoy an energy rating A.
The Andalusian government has an absolute commitment to the Andalusian municipalities and to the municipality of Écija, which is advancing steadily in improving its infrastructure, strengthening its agricultural sector, promoting training and employment, and promoting actions that are an important update for the city.
