The column hall of the Pedro López de Alba building hosted the public presentation of the poetry collection of XXV and its first issue «más que una piedra,» by Enrique Gracia Trinidad, published by Torres Publishers. This event is the result of the agreement signed between the University of Córdoba (UCO) and the Cordoba editorial to promote cultural activities around poetry.
As indicated by the University institution in a note, the XXV poetry year shows, as explained by Calixto Torres, editor.
As he added: «Twenty voices in the current poetic panorama will see their most recent creations published during this year, giving the reader a clear and concise vision of the path that channels the passionate genre of poetry. All this without falling into specific generational concepts, because in this collection we organize Roman and others, with excessive accreditation.
UCO’s rector, Manuel Torralbo, emphasized that the project initiated is «another step in the firm commitment of the University of Córdoba to the promotion of culture and literary creation.» «At UCO, we advocate for poetry and words as tools of expression, reflection, and transformation. This collection, the result of the agreement with Torres Publishers, adds to other initiatives we promote, such as the Ukopoética contest, through which we seek to discover and give visibility to new talents, with notable results in its twelve editions,» he said.
The rector has claimed culture as «a fundamental pillar in building a more critical, sensitive, and engaged society, and from the university, we want to continue promoting spaces that encourage thought and creativity, bringing literature and art to all citizens.»

«Más que menos da una piedra»
The first issue of the collection, «Más que menos da una piedra,» is a work that delves into the common denominator of existence by Enrique Gracia Trinidad.
Avoiding the trap that poet Juan Ruiz de Torres has always warned of («He did it for a long time because he didn’t know how to make them short»), Gracia Trinidad shares with the reader some of the phrases that always accompany him. His mood is for readers to think and play with ideas and words.
Enrique Gracia Trinidad (Madrid, 1950) is a writer, disseminator, and voice actor. He organizes and teaches various literary workshops in this regard: the art of writing, the independent workshop assembly in Madrid; Jorionons de Azul in Seville, the poetry workshop in Rivas-Vaciamadrid; Three courses in Poesía Escorial: Writing and Speaking, etc. He was the creator and coordinator of the poetic reading program «Poetas Live,» from 1996, the year of its creation, until 2009, held at the Spanish National Library, Madrid.
The poetic work of this author has been translated into different languages and has won several awards in various national and international competitions. He is the author of numerous works in poetry and prose.
